Viola Opal Williams, 96, of Victoria passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011. She was born November 26, 1914, in Victoria County to the late Albert and Virda Clutter Ball. Viola worked in the cafeteria at the Bloomington Independent School District, and then worked for F.W. Woolworth in Victoria, from where she retired.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 10 AM from the Rosewood Funeral Chapels with the Rev. Jim Shamburger officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Dittert, and husband, Hugo, of Victoria; sons, Larry Williams, and wife, Ann, of Victoria, Ray Williams and wife, Dottie, of Victoria; Donald Williams and wife, Jelene, of Katy; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, her son, Ronnie Williams, and five sisters.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
