Wilma Umphres Hale

Wilma married C.E. "Coyote" Hale on February 23, 1952, and they were married for over 71 years and happily raised 4 children. She also cherished their 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and touched the lives of many others that she took under her care.

Wilma was and will always be lovingly remembered as "Nanny" to her own family and many others. She always loved to have long visits and was always ready to share a hot cup of coffee or a good home cooked meal. She was a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, and she was always willing to share to Word of Christ with all.

Wilma will be truly missed by her family and friends, including her son, Daryl (Susan) Hale and son-in-law, James (Pam) Solomon; along with her grandchildren, Kimberly Hale, JD “Jack” Solomon, Michael Solomon, Morgan (Chelsey) Hale, and Jessica (Tyler) Noesser; and her great-grandchildren, Andy Parker, Brendon Hale, Dorian Solomon, William Solomon, Angelina Solomon, Everett Noesser and Banks Noesser; along with her 5 great-great grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Coyote; her parents, John Umphres and Winnie Bishop; daughter, Debbie (Hale) Solomon; sons, David Hale and Danny Hale; grandson, Daniel Solomon; brother, John Umphres, Jr.; and a great-granddaughter.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 9-10:30am at Colonial Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
