Anita Dianne Davidson (Dianne), beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on
March 2nd, 2025, at the age of 78 in Mission Viejo. Born on January 9th, 1946 to Alma (Schaub)
and Lee Phillips and grew up in Long Beach. She was known for her great laugh and outgoing
personality. It seemed everywhere she went even if it was on vacation across the country she
would run into someone she knew. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by
her family and friends.
Dianne met her husband Richard at Pepperdine University and they married on September 4th,
1965 in Los Angeles. They moved to San Jose, California where she taught school and they
raised their two children. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, always involved and
supportive of all they did. She also adored Scottish Terrier dogs and raised three of them
throughout her lifetime and loved to add to her huge accumulation of Scottie collectibles. She
was a member of Eastern Star and later started a “Boomers Club” and “Bridge Club” in Palm
Desert where she and Rich had moved after retiring.
Dianne is survived by her two children, Heather (Kris) and Timothy (Lauren), four
grandchildren, her sister Evelyn, sister in law, Frances, and many nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by her parents, grandson Ethan, brother Robert, and her husband of 56 years.
Please check back soon as to the visiting hours and service details as they are still
