Boyd was a Beloved Son, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend. He is survived by his wife Janet, Son Dewayne, Step-son Richard and his wife Jill and five wonderful grandchildren Dianna, Danny, Kane, Kinsey and Krew; plus cousins and numerous friends. Boyd was preceded in death by his Father Dewayne Bishop, Mother Josephine Bishop and Son Gary Bishop.
Boyd was born on December 29, 1945 in Lompoc, California and moved to Apple Valley in 1949 where he became a lifelong resident of the High Desert. He spent over 34 years in the Telecommunications Industry, retiring in 2008.
Boyd had a passion for the outdoors; he loved hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling, boating and camping with his family and friends.
Victor Valley Mortuary is handling the cremation arrangements. Honoring Boyd’s wishes, the family plans to hold a Celebration of Life.
