It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Concepcion A. Degarmo, a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on June 25, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 21, 1943, in the Philippines, Concepcion lived a vibrant and fulfilling life, marked by her unwavering love for her family and her passion for service to others.
Concepcion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clayton Degarmo, whom she married in 1987. Their love story began in the Philippines before moving to Victorville, California, in 1988. Together, they built a life filled with joy and love.
As a devoted mother, Concepcion is survived by her four beloved children: Dennis Ochoco, Marissa Molina, Rodel Molina, and Brenda Galvez. She also leaves behind a loving daughter-in-law, Christine Aceves, and an impressive legacy through her 24 grandchildren: Christopher Abreu Robles, Leanne Chrisden A. Concepcion’s educational journey included attending cosmetology school, where she honed her skills and later opened her own beauty parlor in the Philippines. After relocating to the United States, she worked at the Daily Press for three years and fulfilled her dream of owning a restaurant, where she proudly served veterans, a tribute to her husband’s service and sacrifice.
Gardening was one of Concepcion’s greatest passions. She had a remarkable gift for nurturing plants and her family, demonstrating the importance of caring for the world around us. Her garden was a reflection of her loving character—vibrant, full of life, and a space where family gathered to make memories.
Concepcion is remembered for her loving, happy spirit and her ability to show her family not just how to live but how to love and care deeply for one another. Her warmth radiated through her countless acts of kindness, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched.
A funeral service to honor Concepcion’s life will be held on July 8, 2025, at 5:00 PM at 15609 Eleventh Street, Victorville, CA. We invite family and friends to join us in celebrating a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and the beauty of connection.
