

David was known for his love of the Eastern Sierra mountains, his deep appreciation of music, and a lifelong passion for cars. He adored animals, especially his dogs… and chickens. David found joy in sharing his love of food and cooking with those around him, bringing laughter to the table with his quick-witted sense of humor. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jayne Hall (Hancock), brother Jim Hall (Nancy), sister Carol Nissen (David), nephews Eric and Scott Nissen and James Hall, and nieces Maureen Morace, Sarah Hall, Becca Houlihan, and Ruth Pause.
He was preceded in death by his parents James O. Hall and Helen F. Hall.
David graduated from Redlands University with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Mathematics in 1977. He was well respected as a chemist, specializing in work with water and toxicology, and retired from Tecan in 2019.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Independence, CA for community and friends, at the Mt. Whitney Fish Hatchery on Saturday, August 9th from 5-7pm.
A separate celebration will be held in Victorville, CA, on August 15 at 11:00am at Desert View Funeral Home, located at 11478 Amargosa Rd, Victorville, CA, 92392.
