Denny Leroy George

Denny is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine George. Denny and Geri enjoyed 62 wonderful years of marriage. Denny is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law Cindra and Allen Hadley of Apple Valley, CA, 7 grandchildren: Jeff (Brieanna) Perry, Elizabeth Hadley, Keith (Sylvia) Hadley, Richard Hadley, Jenny (Erich) Foth, Gregory (Mariah) George, Julie Kaczmarski and 11 great grandchildren! He is also survived by his sister-in-law Jolene Beard, brother-in-law Doug (Dorothy) Taylor and several nieces and nephews.

Denny was predeceased by his sons Gregory Lee George in 2002 and Denny J. George in 2004, and his parents Jack & Delphine George, his nephew Rodrick J. Beard and his brother-in-law Roland Beard.

Denny grew up as an only child to Delphine and Jack George in Eugene Oregon. He graduated from Eugene High School in 1954, married his high school sweetheart Geraldine George in 1955 and attended the University of Oregon. Denny was a student athlete at the University of Oregon competing and excelling in track & field.

Denny & Geri had three children while still living in Oregon and then moved to California in 1965 and settled in Upland. Denny enjoyed many years of success as a business owner in Upland. He loved to volunteer in youth sports in Upland where his sons were active in Little League, Pop Warner Football and he organized many youth track & field events. He was also an active and dedicated member of the Kiwanis organization in Upland.

Denny’s most cherished years were spent in retirement living in Bullhead City, AZ where he and Geri loved to golf, gamble and spending time with the many friends they made during this wonderful time of their lives.

He spent the last 5 years of his life in Apple Valley near his daughter and grandchildren!
