

Edward M. East was born in Huntington Park, California, December 25, 1932, to Luther James and Ida Mae East. He passed away unexpectedly at home on December 13, 2017. Edward is survived by his wife Marlene of 68 years, and sister Dorothy Archer of Colorado, his children Edward Jr., Karen Loya (John), George, Carol Anderson (Wendell), his Grandchildren, Luther East (Tabatha), Marshall East (Colleen), Eleice, Matt Duran (Shannon), LoriAnn Briones (Alfonso), Jessica Owen (Tim), Jeffrey Johnson (Ashley), Vanessa McKee, Justin East, Tawny East, and Kena East. He also leaves behind 26+ great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members, friends, and neighbors, that he held dear to his heart. Edward was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Brother (James), Sister (Patsy), Son (Daniel), Grandson (Jacob), Daughter-in law (Brenda). Edward was a Free Mason and very proud to be associated with the organization. Edward's passion was carpentry and at 17 years old built his home by himself without power tools. What a great talent he possessed. He worked as a General Contractor for 40+ years, building many homes in the High Desert. His work has been admired by many. He Enjoyed sharing his passion of carpentry with his sons. Before moving to the High Desert he resided in San Dimas, California, where he was the founder and owner of San Dimas Disposal. He was very active in the community where he served on the City Council and helped to establish and construct San Dimas Little League along with many community projects. After leaving San Dimas he moved to Upland, California, and then on to the High Desert where he resided for 38 years.
