After a short battle with pancreatic cancer, Edd Pluma died at Loma Linda University Medical Center at the age of 68. Born in Youngstown Ohio, Edd moved to Hesperia in 1978. After four years in the United States Marine Corps, Edd worked for the United States Postal Service for 32 years, serving as Postmaster of Victorville for 21 years from 1983 until retiring in 2004. He was a member of the High Desert Marines and a life long Yankee and Celtic fan. Edd is survived by Eileen, his wife of 44 years, son Jason, daughter Kelly, son in law Shawn Manning, brother and sister in law Johnny and Christie Pluma and brother Rick Pluma, 7 grandchildren (Tyler, Vision, Cayman, Hailee, Driven, Juliet and Emily) and granddaughter in law Preziosy. Services will be held at Desert View Funeral Home in Victorville on May 16th at 10am.
