Harold Lloyd Mason

Harold Lloyd Mason Jr. passed away in his home in Apple Valley, CA on May 21, 2015 at the age of 66. Harold was born in Alliance, NE on September 28, 1948 and was the eldest child of Alberta Freda (Prelle) and Harold Lloyd Mason Sr. When Harold was 8 years old, the family moved to Baldwin Park, CA, where he attended Central Elementary, and later, both Sierra Vista and Baldwin Park High Schools. In 1967, he married Linda Kruse, and together they had two daughters, Tammy and Kandy. Harold and Linda divorced after 10 years of marriage. In 1979, he married Dorothy Bodaly, and together they raised Dorothy’s daughter, Shannan. In 1986, they bought a home and moved from the Los Angeles area out to the high desert of Apple Valley. But after 15 years of marriage, Harold and Dorothy also divorced. Harold spent his life working as a welder and metal fabricator. He enjoyed building trikes and riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, and quads. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery, and shooting. He was a loving and protective son, brother, uncle, father and grandfather, and he will be greatly missed. Harold was predeceased by his father Harold Sr. and his nephew Vincent. He is survived by his mother Alberta Mason; his brother Rodney Mason (Jan); his sisters Myrna Fisher (Dennis) and Shari Papp; his daughters Tammy Fausone (Thomas) and Kandy Mason; step daughter Shannan Armbruster (Don); god daughter Jenny Mason; grandchildren Robert Serene, Joshua and Matthew Conlon, John and Michael Raines, and Kaitlyn and Brendan McKaskle; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial service and reception will be held on July 7, 2015 at 3pm at Desert View Funeral Home 11478 Amargosa Road Victorville, CA.
