It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Jaime Hernandez, who left us alongside his beloved brother Rogelio on February 7, 2025. Jaime was born on July 30, 1983, to Celso and Maria Hernandez, as one of their 16 children. Throughout his life, Jaime was known for his optimistic spirit, his infectious sense of humor, and his ability to turn any situation into a moment of joy.
As a child, Jaime was full of energy and always wanted to play, bringing light and laughter wherever he went. He lived by the motto, "Smile now, cry later," always seeing the silver lining and making the best of any circumstance. His jokes and playful attitude were a trademark, and he could always be counted on to lift the spirits of those around him, no matter how tough things got.
Jaime met his wife, Alondra, at a young age, and their love story blossomed into a beautiful partnership. Together, they raised eight children, always striving to provide them with a better life despite the challenges they faced. Jaime was a man who lived in the moment—never one for planning ahead but always focused on doing whatever it took for his family. He believed in living life fast, much like the "Fast and Furious" movies he loved, taking risks and embracing every opportunity that came his way.
Jaime’s childhood best friend was Cathy, and later in life, that bond was matched by the deep connection he shared with his brother, Roger. The two were inseparable.. Their relationship was rooted in love, loyalty, and the shared determination to help each other whenever it was needed. Jaime was also a handymen, always willing to lend a hand for any job, large or small.
Though Jaime’s life was not without struggle, his unwavering faith—something instilled in him by his father, Celso—kept him grounded. Even after his father’s passing five years ago, Jaime carried on the lessons of faith, family, and perseverance that his father had imparted.
A devoted football fan, Jaime’s heart belonged to the Raiders. His passion for the game was infectious, and he could always be found cheering on his team, sharing in the excitement of every win and every loss.
Jaime’s life was tragically cut short alongside his brother Rogelio, but their legacy will live on through their families, their friends, and all those whose lives they touched. Jaime will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be cherished, especially by his wife, Alondra, their eight children, his siblings, and countless friends who loved him dearly.
Jaime is survived by his wife, Alondra; their eight children; his mother, Maria; his siblings; and a network of friends who were like family. Jaime, your spirit and energy will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace, and may you and Rogelio continue to shine together from above.
