Linda Carrizosa

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Ruiz Carrizosa, who left us on January 18, 2025, at the age of 98. Born on April 4, 1926, in Alberhill, California, to Manuel and Angelita Ruiz, Linda lived a life marked by hard work, love, and unwavering devotion to her family and community. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. For over 71 years, she called San Bernardino County home, where her warm spirit and strong work ethic touched all who knew her. She worked for many years as a maid for Judge Joseph P. Campbell. For 20 years, Linda also worked as a waitress, always sharing a kind smile and providing excellent service. Her devotion to her family and work reflected her generous and caring nature. Linda’s love for life extended beyond her work. She loved dancing and was known for wearing her 6 inch high heels well into her 70s. Her infectious laughter and big sense of humor brought joy to everyone around her, and she could always lighten the mood with her jokes and bright spirit. In her quiet moments, Linda found comfort and peace in prayer, particularly in the Rosary, which brought her strength throughout her life. Linda was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Carrizosa, Infant son Daniel Carrizosa, her beloved daughter, Virginia Flores, and cherished son, Joseph Carrizosa. She leaves behind her loving children, Della, David, and Jesse, and her daughter-in-laws Maria and Rosie. Linda was also blessed to raise her granddaughters, Erlinda and Angelita, whom she adored. She is survived by her two brothers, Johnny and Larry Ruiz, as well as 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 35 great-great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-great-grandchildren. Linda’s large, loving family and many dear friends will miss her deeply. Her legacy of love, strength, and perseverance will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the incredible life she led and the profound impact she had on those lucky enough to know her.
