A visitation for Marta will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Desert View Memorial Park, 11500 AMARGOSA RD, VICTORVILLE, CA 92392.

Marta will be laid to rest in Victor Valley Memorial Park, 17150 C St., Victorville, CA 92395.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Marta Cruz Vazquez, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Marta peacefully left this world on January 27, 2024, surrounded by the love and warmth she shared throughout her remarkable life.

Marta is survived by her three devoted children, David Mercado and his wife Bertha Mercado, Luis Mercado and his wife Iris Mercado, and Madeline Rodriguez and her husband Louie Rodriguez. She leaves behind a legacy of love in the form of seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Marta is also survived by her dear sister, Margarita C. Pinero, and numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness.

Our dear Mom was the radiant light that guided us since our earliest days. Her unwavering love, care, kindness, and nurturing spirit created a home filled with warmth and comfort. Marta selflessly devoted herself to her family, always ready to lend a helping hand without expecting anything in return. No questions asked, she embraced each challenge with a heart full of love.

Mom also fostered and cared for so many children as her own. Her heart, expansive as the sky, welcomed those in need, providing them with a loving home and a sense of belonging. Marta's compassion extended beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of those who may have otherwise been without a loving embrace.

Throughout her life, Marta worked tirelessly, not only to provide for her family but also to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her generosity knew no bounds, and her compassionate nature touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Marta approached life with an open heart, never passing judgment and always offering a listening ear.

We are immensely blessed to have had Marta in our lives. Her love was a constant source of strength, and her spirit will continue to inspire us as we navigate the journey ahead. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.

Mom, we will miss you dearly, and you will forever remain in our hearts. Your memory will serve as a beacon of love and resilience, guiding us through the challenges of life. May you find eternal peace and may your soul rest in serenity.
