Noah was born in Ft. Wayne IN on August 18, 1930, to Noah Sr. and Clara Wertz. He lived among family until a hearing impairment was discovered in early childhood which afforded him a formal education at two robust Deaf Schools at that time. His elementary school years were spent at The Lutheran School for the Deaf in Detroit MI which is where his relationship with Jesus was fostered. That relationship continued throughout his life, he loved reading the Bible and was often heard quoting verses. He then moved to Jacksonville IL where he attended their school for the deaf and where he remained until his graduation in 1952.
Noah grew up working on farms, in bakeries, and even opened his own TV and Radio repair shop for a while. He also worked for Beer Nuts in Illinois before moving his wife and young family to California where he found several avenues of employment as a technician and machinist; his last employer was Baxter Healthcare Corp in Irvine CA. After his retirement, he enjoyed an active life of working out at the YMCA, going to local senior centers, riding his bike around the neighborhood, and attending Church... he even volunteered at a local community center for a while. He enjoyed traveling across the united states to see his many loved ones, and when he needed some downtime you could see him playing Wii Bowling or Baseball.
In his early 90s he took up residence in Matthews NC with his youngest daughter and due to a slower pace he then moved into a facility located in Huntersville NC. While there he continued being active and enjoyed participated in whatever crafts or games were offered, he appreciated watching movies and eating popcorn with other residence along with many other activities that were scheduled. Anyone who met him liked him, for his peaceful nature and calming presence; He will be remembered as a sweet, kind, gentle man.
