Mrs. Rita Beaver

RITA BEAVER, 70 Rita Beaver was called home to our Lord on June 21, 2014 from her residence in Victorville. She was a long time resident of the Victor Valley. Rita was born in San Bernardino to parents of Frank Delacruz and Martha Escobedo on July 3, 1943. A graduate of Victor Valley High School, she was married on October 3, 1964 to Jerry E. Beaver Sr. who was stationed at George AFB. Though military life required them to relocate to other locations including overseas, they ended up returning to the Victor Valley to raise their family and retire. She worked as an operator and dispatcher at Continental Telephone Company (Contel) for 20+ years. She was a warm and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and spending time with her family. Rita loved to travel and in the last few years went to visit her son stationed in Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry and sister Gloria Martinez. She is survived by her partner Joseph Varela; her sisters Regina Villareal and Liz Becerra; her brothers Edward and Ernesto Corral; her daughters Denise (Grant) Klokeid and Tammy (Jeff) Daniels; son USAF Major Jerry (Bobbi Jo) Beaver Jr; four grandchildren Michelle Moore, Andrew Klokeid, Caleb and Michael Beaver, and two great grandchildren Mark and Andrew Moore. Visitation will be held at Desert View Funeral Home on June 26, 2014 at 4:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Desert View Funeral Home on June 27, 2014 at 10:00 am with burial at Desert View Memorial Park. Reception to follow at her home.
