Roger R. Silva

Rojelio (Roger) R. Silva, 68, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 12, 2016 in Wrightwood, California. He was the husband and sweetheart of Maria L. Silva. They shared a beautiful love story that was reignited after many years. Their memories together will always be cherished. Born in McAllen, Texas, on December 28, 1947, he was the son of Anastacio and Hermelinda Silva. He was the loving father of Lisa, Roger, Valerie and Ryne Silva. He was also the beloved step father of Melissa, Krystal, Jennifer and Angie. Roger graduated from high school and was drafted into the military in 1968. He served in the Vietnam War during 1969-1970. He belonged to Hillside Community Church in Wrightwood, California where he grew deeper in his relationship with God. He enjoyed: spending time with family, listening to music, helping others, playing pranks, making others laugh, telling his stories, drinking a glass of wine, watching the Dallas Cowboys and boxing, playing with his grandkids, eating Lemon meringue pie, and always making his Honey happy. He will be remembered for his contagious laugh and funny sense of humor. Roger was a loving, beautiful, romantic and sensitive man. He was a true blessing to anyone who entered his life. Roger will always be a proud Texan who came to California to be with his true love that he never forgot.
