

Clay was a Vinton native who attended the First Baptist Church of Vinton. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and the outdoors.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Renfrow Thompson and her husband Billy R.; daughters, Kristy Crisp and her husband Allen, Kathy Courmier and her husband Willie, and Katie LaBove and her husband Frank, all of Vinton; brothers, Ricky Renfrow and his wife Margie of Sulphur, Lester Renfrow and his wife Cheryl, and Guy Renfrow and his wife Roycenda, both of Vinton; special friend, Diane Stephenson of Orange; grandchildren, Brantyn LaBove, Kenzie LaBove, Max Crisp, Dawsyn LaBove, Connor Courmier, and Benjamin Crisp; mother-in-law, Maggie Guillory; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Guillory Renfrow; and Dad P.R. Renfrow.
His funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday, December 23, in the First Baptist Church of Vinton. The Rev. Bobby Daniel will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until service Monday, all at the church.
