Emmadel Quinn Schlicher

Emmadel worked with Abbeville General Hospital for over 25 years as a Dietician and also worked with Menard's Marble. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Abbeville since 1960.

Survivors include her children, Robert Wayne Schlicher and wife, Annette Richardson Schlicher of Abbeville, Beverly Gale Duhon and husband, Allen Dale Duhon of Delcambre, Teresa Dale Luquette and husband, George J. Luquette of Avery Island, and Jena Frances Renard and husband, Mark Anthony of Abbeville; brother, Joseph Elmore Quinn and wife, Joan Ann Koonce of Westlake; sister, Georgia Ruth Ferguson of Austin, Texas; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Hardy Howard Schlicher; siblings, William Quinn, Alma Jean Mathewson, and Janet LaGrone; and her brother-in-law, James Orlando Ferguson.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday, December 13, in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. The Rev. Gerard Little will officiate. Burial will be in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery in Vinton. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
