

Henry was a lifetime resident of Vinton. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and he was a carpenter by trade. He was known for cooking and especially his roux. He loved all kinds of Cajun music and his favorite Cajun song was, " I'm Proud To Be A Cajun". He was a proud member of the American Legion of Sulphur. He was known as a concerned and caring person. He loved his whole family and his twenty five grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Henry was survived by his children, Floyd J. Stanley, Raymond J. Stanley, Earline M. Reid, Yanita A. Mornic, Lydia M. Leger and her husband, LeRoi. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Esma M. Fontenot Stanley.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 23, in the Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Vinton. The Rev. Carlos Garcia will officiate. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur, La. under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Thursday evening, June 22, with a rosary at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
