Jeanette Marie Malone

She married the love of her life, Allen Roy Malone on July 8, 1967, and together raised their 4 daughters in Vinton, LA during their 40 years of marriage. They were both active members of the American Legion Post 208 and the VFW Post 9854. They owned Jeanette’s Cajun Catfish on Hwy 109 in Vinton, which served the community and had visitors from all over the world. Her hobbies included making cakes, ceramics, cross stitching, playing cards and being there for her friends. There was never a time that she would not drop what she was doing to help someone in need. She cherished the time spent with her many family members and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are, her fur baby, Sam; her daughters, Cindy Marceaux, Peggy Wilson (partner-Jude), Becky Toups (Randy), and Mary Gilley (Marvin); grandchildren, Michelle Jones (Chris), Phillip Marceaux (Angela), Jennifer Gray (Leonard), Laura Perry (Justin), Krystal Gray, Heath Toups (Anna), Randall Toups (Sasha), Jonathon Toups, Nichole Clifton (Tommy), Rachael Prejean (partner-Lawrence), Marlyn Hammer (partner-Josh), Jimmy Prejean (Kayla); 27 great-grandchildren, Shawn, Chasity, Bryce, Crysta, Keane, Keli, Kayla, Jami, Kirsten, Gavin, Kyrah, Victoria, Grace, Lori, Josh, Emma, Landon, Allen, Alli, Blazelyn, Elijah, Ainsley, Mason Jimmy III, Heath Jr., Alexandra and Hadley; 6 great-great grandchildren Huxley, Cullen, MJ, Karsyn, Kalem, and Jasper; her sisters, Willie Jean Hebert Lambert, and Patricia Hebert Lisotta; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, niece, and great nephews, along with many friends were her entire life and they will all miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Allen Roy Malone, parents Olie Hebert and Hilda Navarre Hebert, brother Larry Lynn Hebert, niece Annette LiSotta Breaux.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m . in Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will resume at 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2021 in St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Bino F. Poovannikunnel, M.S. officiating. Interment will follow in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are, Phillip Marceaux, Heath Toups, Jimmy Prejean II, Randall Toups, Shawn Garrie, Bryce Jones, Keane Gibson. Honorary pallbearer, Jonathon Toups.
