Lula was a native of Gueydan and lived in Vinton for 75 years. She attended St Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
Survivors include her sons, J.L. Vincent and his wife Peggy, Kenneth Wayne Vincent, both of Vinton, and Rickey Vincent of Orange, Texas; daughter Carolyn Whitaker and husband Carroll of Lumberton, Texas; sister Juanita Bernard; 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph Yule Vincent and Algie Fields Young.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 11, in St Joseph Catholic Church. The Reverend Susil Fernando will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Vinton. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 7 p.m., and from 8 a.m. Thursday, until time of service, all at the funeral home.
