Neva was retired from Calcasieu Parish School Board where she worked for many years as a school bus driver. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, making quilts and doing crafts of all kinds. Neva was a long time member of Antioch Baptist Church in Edgerly, where she would greet and shake hands with everyone who walked through the doors.
Those preceding her in death include her husband, Leonce Martin; daughter, Lynna Tully; her parents; and brothers, Charles and Gordon Clement. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Ted Martin; grandsons, Brandon and Cory Martin; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter and 1 on the way.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Hixson Funeral Home in Vinton under the direction of Mona Gibbs and Pastor Russell Beard. Burial will follow at Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm in the funeral home on Thursday, May 8, 2025 and will resume at 8 am on Friday.
