

She was a native of Rayne and had lived many years in Houma and Vinton. She was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma and was also a member of the Catholic Daughters and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Pearl enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Andras and husband, Alan of Houma; two sons, Lawrence Cormier and wife, Nell of Sulphur and Gary Cormier and wife, Sheryl of Houma; two brothers, Elias "T-Neg" Cormier of Sulphur and Houston "T-boy" Cormier of Vinton; ten sisters, Winnie Cormier, Theresa O'Quain, Thelma Boudreaux, Delores Boudreaux, and Linda Cormier, all of Vinton, Ann Doucet and Marella Billedeaux, both of Sulphur, Lucille LeDoux of Lacassine, Patsy Johnson of Rayne, and Betty Cormier of Scott; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ode Cormier; and two sisters, Vivian Monceaux and Lavina Lopez.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 21, in St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Jerry Boulanger will officiate. Pallbearers will be Chase Cormier, Rudy Soignet, Courtney Soignet, Jared Andras, Ian Cormier, and Aaron Paul Moody. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation is from 3-9 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
