Aniceto "Tony" Cango Chiu

Aniceto was born April 3, 1947 in the Philippines. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose and Felicidad Chiu; and siblings Juanito Leong, Ediberto Leong, Roberto Leong, Sonia Leong and Leda Chiu.

Mr. Chiu retired from the U.S. Navy after twenty years of service. He was a member of Ascension Catholic Church, the Kahirup Foundation of Tidewater, and the Filipino Seniors Group. Aniceto loved telling jokes, working with his hands, and being with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his loving wife Thelma Adarme Chiu; daughter Madonna Chiu Monahan (Peter); son Mark Chiu (Melissa); sister Magdalena Chiu; grandchildren: Brayden, Kennedy, and Eily; and step-grandchildren: Josie and Ava.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022, 11:00a.m. at Ascension Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at the Church Columbarium.
