I knew Aunt Carol as a kind, independent, free spirit.  She kept moving forward with good grace throughout life. Only recently did I learn about her creative skills which included jewelry making, painting Christmas porcelain, and writing.  Family was always important. We shall treasure the good memories.

Carol was such a strong independent woman. I enjoyed being around her and helping as much as possible when she needed work done on her house or yard. I was always amazed how much energy she put into being a foster parent and also her many rescue dogs.

 Carol was truly one of a kind; an amazingly generous person who lifted up everyone around her.  I remember she once helped me to paint a ceramic figure as a gift for my mother.  I went to her house for weeks, sitting at the kitchen table and carefully painting that figure.  I had never identified as artistic or crafty, but Carol showed me how with perseverence and attention to detail we can do things we thougnt were out of our reach.  It is a lesson that I carry with me in all parts of my life.  That is what Carol did for a lot of people; inspiring them to be better than they knew they could be.

Carol was a wonder friend.  I loved to listen to stories of her childhood and early adult period.  She had great family stories about the rural south that is long gone.  Carol was always willing to help out.  Sometimes it was giving advice, sometimes it was just listening, and once it was calling a friend to rectify my hair emergency.   Thank you for the love and memories you have left with us.  Carol I will miss you; you were taken from us too early.

I first met Carol when she was a student in my Child Psychology class.  Who knows what turns an acquaintance into a friend?  She not only became a friend but one of my BFFs.  It was that way for over 30 years.  Now there is a big hole in my life where Carol used to be.  It will take a long time to begin to fill in; but I  am so grateful that I had her in my life for as long as I did.  I will miss her terribly and love her forever.

My dear Aunt Carol was my friend and mentor.  She was always there for me and I have such fond memories of visits with her especially during my college years.  She had a special gift of making you feel loved.  Truly a great lady with an indomitable spirit. Light and Love.

Go to your well deserved rest, little sister.. We love you dearly and will miss you terribly.

Carol was an amazing woman. Up until her passing, I had not really thought about exactly how much of an impact she had on my life. She essentially raised me alongside my parents. When they had to work, I went to her house. She would always have some kind of project for us to work on together. I remember us making a purse at one point. She has made me a few necklaces which I will always cherish. She even sewed my patch onto my nursing uniform. Whenever I wear it, I will think of her. I will be the best nurse I can be in her memory. She was family. I love her and will miss her everyday. I am glad she was a part of my life for so long.

Carol is the aunt I never had a chance to really get to know.  I see she has had a profound effect on those who did.  Still I do have some memories of her that will last for the rest of my life.  Peace be with all of us knowing she had a good life and didn't linger at the end.

Aunt Carol was such a special lady. I could always call her with a problem and even if she couldn't come up with a way for me to solve it, she always helped me put it in perspective. She was very dear to my heart and I will miss her always.

Aunt Carol was my friend as well as my aunt, and a mentor to me in my adult life. Generous with her time, her love and thoughtful advice, she helped me understand my family and myself. On an especially dark day seven years ago, she saved my life. Carol is a beautiful soul and is greatly missed.

Carol as my Nana was the best Nana anyone could possibly ask for. She listened to you, shared advise with you, and would do whatever it took to see a smile on your face. She would take time out of her day, to spend time with me and help me when I needed it. She reached out to others who needed help without knowing who they were. She was patient, kind, and caring, these are the attributes that someone like her would have, and express without even meaning to. It's absolutely amazing the kindness she gave and how she expected nothing in return. She has taught me valuable lessons in life that I will never forget. Her life has truly been a blessing for everyone she knew and she will always be in our hearts. I love you Nana, love you more, love you the most, and I will love you forever.
