Elaine Theresa Newell

Elaine Theresa Newell passed away on July 12th at 10:13 AM. at the age of 78. Elaine was born on March 14th in West Point Va. She was adopted and raised by Paul & Margaret Gyoker in Courtland Va on a peanut farm. She eventually met her birth mother Joanne Ellis and her father Curtis Ellis (he may not have been her biological father but he was her father all the same) and more extended family than we have room to list here. She had many wonderful years getting to know all of this family that all welcomed her with open arms and showered her with so much love.

Elaine spent 45 years married to Gary Newell Sr. together they raised 3 children Jake Blackburn (Jennifer Lynn), Paula Olah (Phil Olah Jr), and Gary Newell Jr (Nicole) They have 8 grandchildren Patrick Speller, David Copeland Jr, William "Hunter" Copeland, Cara Copeland, Gary Newell III, Michael Newell, Christian Newell, & Kiya Newell and 2 great grandchildren Layla Speller and Lekai Speller.

While raising her children as a stay at home mom, Elaine was also very dedicated to her work as an Avon Sales Representative. She was top sales for many years consecutively, was a member of the Presidents Club, and was awarded several Miss Albee awards. Elaine had a passion for bargain hunting and loved to go to yard sales, she was an amazing cook, loved animals, and was such a vibrant person that could light up a room just with her presence. Elaine Theresa Newell you will be dearly missed.
