Emma Lee Forrest

Emma Lee Forrest, 89, passed away February 6, 2013. She was born on March 3, 1923 in Norfolk, VA to the late Harry Joseph Hicks, Sr., and Mary Louise Cashin Hicks. Em and her husband owned and operated Forrest Exterminating Service. She was a parishioner at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Em is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert M. Forrest, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert M. Forrest III and wife Deborah, Richard L. Forrest and wife Louise, Gary S. Forrest and wife Kathleen, D. Keith Forrest, and Paul G. Forrest; daughter, Joyce A. Strain and husband Douglas; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at St. Benedict’s Church in Chesapeake, Va., followed by entombment at Rosewood Memorial Park.

A rosary service will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel with a visitation following until 9:00 p.m.
