Harry Marshall Watts, 78, of Chesapeake, VA, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021, after a long fight with dementia. He did not pass alone as his daughter and her best friends were there with him.
Harry is predeceased by his wife, Susan Brown Watts and his parents, Harry Wesley Watts and Eddie Arvena Morris Watts. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shannon Watts and his sister, Deborah Ramsey and several nieces and nephews.
Harry was born on November 6, 1943, in Lynchburg, VA. Owner of Watts Tile and Floor Covering, he enjoyed spending time with friends traveling, cruising, fishing, cooking, or growing prize-winning tomatoes in his garden. A Vietnam Veteran and Marine, he was always a proud member of the Armed Forces. A survivor of multiple cancers, he worked tirelessly in Lynchburg for the American Cancer society to keep kids from smoking and helping those who had throat cancer adjust to their new lives.
There will be a visitation to celebrate Harry’s life on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 4-6 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home at 4889 Princess Anne Rd. in Virginia Beach.
