James Alexander "Alex" Ratté

James Alexander “Alex” Ratté, 28, was born January 12, 1990 in Virginia Beach. He graduated from Bishop Sullivan Catholic High and attended the College of William and Mary, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Accounting. Alex loved music, and played the saxophone and piano. He was an avid fencer, video game enthusiast, and pro wrestling fan. Alex enjoyed working out and practicing martial arts. He was interested in aviation and was currently earning his pilot’s license. Alex worked as Project Manager for D.E. Kirby, Inc. and also owned his own landscaping business. He is survived by his parents, Marie and Jimmy, brother, Adam, and many loving family members and friends. He will be missed by all. A service will be conducted at 1 pm, Friday, April 6, 2018, at Smith and Williams Kempsville Funeral Home, with a reception to follow. Graveside service will be private.
