John "Ranny" Randolph Cahoon

Virginia Beach - John Randolph Cahoon Jr., 76, of Clarksville, formerly of Virginia Beach passed away Friday, March 18, 2011. John was the son of the late John Randolph Sr. and Mary Cahoon. John served in the Army, was a long term government employee, and after retirement ran his own consulting firm in Virginia Beach. He was active in the VFW and American Legion Post #45, as well as a member of Jamieson United Methodist Church.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Brenda Cahoon of Clarksville; daughters, Karen McNeal and Lisa and Lonnie Muncy of Virginia Beach; his sons, Kevin Cahoon also of Virginia Beach and John R. Cahoon III and his wife Leslie of Texas; a stepson, Richard Castle and wife Laura of Clarksville. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, John’s sister, Patricia Hamilton and husband Michael of Virginia Beach, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
