Margaret Moore Sims

Margaret Elizabeth Sims also known as (Mis Molly) passed away on Monday morning, March 25.She was part of the first graduating class from Granby High School. For years she was a member of the Talbot Park Baptist Church and taught Sunday school there. She also worked for the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney’s office for 17 years, retiring in 1992. She married Fred J. Sims in October 1976, and they enjoyed dancing, fishing, traveling and spending time with family. With a heart as big as the sky, she endeared herself to God, family and friends. Her deep and abiding faith in God sustained her throughout her life. She was greatly loved and will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Bertie McGee, and by her younger sister, Shirley DeDeurwaerter.

She is survived by her husband Fred Sims, Sr.,her sons, Robert Moore III, Richard Moore, Randy Moore, Fred Sims Jr., and daughters Gay Wiggs, Candy Callahan and thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
