Maria Dinglasan Tesoro

Maria Dinglasan Tesoro, age 96 lived at the City of Virginia Beach. On January 10, 2011, she entered the gates of eternity to join and be reunited with her husband of 75 years, Aurelio Burgos Tesoro. Maria was born on September 8, 1914 of Marcelo Dinglasan and Eduarda Nuñez. Maria spent most of her life in the Philippines as a housewife, until she and her husband came to the U.S. in the mid 70’s. She was predeceased by her parents; a son Benjamin Tesoro and wife Estela; a brother Deogracias Dinglasan, and a sister Arsenia D. Sespene.

Maria is survived by her eight children; Violeta T. Abalos and husband Ernesto; Cesar Tesoro and wife Perlita; Corazon T. Caringal and husband Felix; Fe D. Tesoro; Luther Tesoro and wife Remedios; Michael Tesoro and wife Jasmin; Greta Tesoro and Alexis T. Cornista; a brother Mariano Dinglasan; a sister Amelita D. Ortiz; 22 wonderful grandchildren, two whom live in the Philippines; 28 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-9:00 pm, Thursday, January 13, 2011 and 6:00-9:00 pm, Friday, January 14, 2011 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
