Mark Sebastian Shields, 54, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2024. He was born on September 13, 1969, to James and Margaret Shields in Lima Ohio and grew up in Canton Michigan before leaving for the Navy in 1989. Navy veteran and IT specialist. Mark served aboard the USS Willamette, USS Ouellet, and USS Florikan.
Mark was a loving husband and father. A man of many talents and hobbies with a passion for cooking; Mark was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and hunter. He was known to always have a joke ready and a kind word when needed.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Shields; son, Ryan Shields; daughter, Taylor Shields; mother, Margret Shields; sister, Monica Hewitt; mother-in-law, Rosetta Montgomery; father-in-law, Leland Lillie; and cat, Whisper.
