Muriel "Mitzi" Rose Mintz

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton Mintz, and her brother, Morrie Deutch. She leaves behind her sister, Evelyn Katz, her children, and her loving grandchildren, Rachel Olcheski Doboga (Evan Doboga), Laura Rose Olcheski, Ian Daniel Mintz, and Chris Chia.

Mitzi resided in Virginia Beach with her daughter and son-in-law. She was an avid bridge player and reached the level of Gold Master. She often shared her "pearls of wisdom" with family and friends. Mitzi loved the arts, enjoying classical music, poetry, and literature.

The family would like to thank her devoted caregivers and Dr. Mitchell Miller and his wonderful staff.

There will be a viewing Friday, April 27 from 6 PM-8 PM at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville. A graveside service will be held on April 28 at 1 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, King David section, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk VA.
