Linda, we share your loss of your devoted husband and father of your children because he was an admirable classmate and shipmate to many of us, his U.S. Naval Academy Class of 1965 brothers. What a magnificent career and life well lived with you by his side all the way. We will sorely miss his well founded medical advice and counsel at our monthly luncheons during the Medical Organ Recital we often held at those luncheons. We will also miss his quick smile and sage advice about a myriad of topics regarding the Navy and life in general. It would have been a privilege and a great pleasure to have sailed with him. Please accept our deepest sympathy and regret at his passing.
Sadly, Ron and Page Bishop

Linda,
I was so saddened to hear of the loss of Norm.
The obituary in the paper was so well done and informative. I only knew the very kind and gentlemanly USNA classmate with the very warm smile. It was so interesting to me to learn of his many and varied accomplishments. Impressive to say the least and yet he always came across as very unassuming and down to earth. It was my honor and pleasure to have known him.
My sincerest sympathy to you and your family in your loss.

To Linda and the Dean Family - Please accept my deepest personal condolences and those of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the USNA Alumni Association on Norm's passing. I knew him first as a fellow staff member when we served together on the SURFLANT staff in the 1990s and later as the Hampton Roads Chapter President. I know he was a faithful follower of Navy football and thoroughly enjoyed our Chapter's watch parties at Shorebreak. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Linda, my dear heart...

I was very saddened to hear about Norman. Clearly he was an amazing person who gave an extraordinary amount of dedicated service to our country, to his community and to his family.

Proust wrote, "Memory nourishes the heart, and grief abates..."
I hope that will be true for you.

With love, Kenny
