Renoo Burton Pongpayom

Renoo Pongpayom Burton, 71, passed away on July 31, 2018 after a valiant 5-year battle with cancer. A tiny woman, only 4 feet-7 inches tall and 100 pounds. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand and came to Norfolk more than 30 years ago. She was full of life, vital, and creative. A noted cook, she was famous for her spring rolls and spicy Thai dishes. Renoo retired from NEX Norfolk with 30 years of service. In retirement, she followed her passion – handmade creations; her hands never stopped. Left to cherish and honor her memory are her sisters Nittiya and husband Jon Powell, Plearnta Tantiwongse; daughter Urasa and husband Louis Rivera Jr; son Bic and wife Melinda Bussuvanno; granddaughters Tiffany and husband Reginald Redmond, Autumn Bussuvanno, and Leanna Rivera; grandsons Brian Bussuvanno, Louis Rivera III, and Joseph Bussuvanno; great grandsons Clifford Discalo and Tristen Redmond, and life partner Ronald Sears. She inspired love and was loved by all who met and knew her. Her multitude of friends will deeply and sincerely miss her.
