Reynaldo Montemayor Balmaceda

Reynaldo Montemayor Balmaceda, 80, passed away on March 17, 2022. He was born in the Philippines to the late Faustino and Hermogena Balmaceda. Rey served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and retired after 21 years. He then worked Civil Service for 28 years. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, rooting for his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys, spending time with his grandchildren and watching Filipino YouTube videos. Rey was a kind, caring, loving, generous man; he was uniquely incredible.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Emerita G. Balmaceda; 2 sons, Sean Edward and John Christopher Balmaceda.

Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Katherine Balmaceda Mitchell (Matt); brother, Rolando M. Balmaceda (Lourdes); sister, Clarita B. Salinas (Efren); grandchildren, Shaun Mitchell (Sarah Baja), Connor Mitchell and Addison Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
