Rhoda Frances Bowdoin

Rhoda Frances Bowdoin, 68, passed away in Virginia Beach on Friday, September 10, 2021 to be with her Lord and Savior. Rhoda was born in Virginia Beach, VA to the late Paul and Bertha Brenneman. She was also predeceased by her son, Steven Bowdoin; sisters, Ruth McDaniel, Martha and Pauline Brenneman and brother, Alton Brenneman. Rhoda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She can best be described by her loving and selfless nature, always putting others before her own needs. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, planting flowers and working in her yard, but most of all spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by Charles Bowdoin and cherished by her children, Amy Whalley (Garry), Timothy Bowdoin (Liz), Lisa Hershberger (Ryan), Kevin Bowdoin and Regina Miller (Christian); siblings, Renie Brenneman, Dorcas Miller, Fern Yoder, and Donnie Brenneman; twenty four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 11am, Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Kempsville Mennonite Church, where she was a member. Interment will immediately follow the service.
