Sarah Marie Willis

Virginia Beach – Sarah Marie Willis, 58, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2016. She was born in Cleveland, OH on March 20, 1958 to the late David and Bandar Murad. On March 4th, 1989 she married her best friend, Mark G. Willis. Throughout their life, they simply enjoyed spending time together, whether it was going to Church, playing golf, attending their children’s sporting activities, enjoying a cruise, or hanging out at the house. They have three beautiful children, who were the light of her life. She was a devoted mother that was always involved in her children’s lives. Sarah enjoyed cooking and hosting her neighbors and friends at their pool. During her life, she was known to always give of herself to others. She had a fiercely competitive spirit and a tender ability to show empathy to anyone in need and a beautiful laugh and smile to brighten anyone’s day. Sarah loved the Lord and became a member of London Bridge Baptist Church in 1989.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Mark G. Willis; daughter, Caitlin Willis; sons, Gavin and Jordan Willis; brother, Morris Murad; and sister, Sophie Murad and her husband Steve Cadwell.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday June 10, 2016 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016 at the funeral home.
