Shirley Conner Ritter

A Norfolk native Mrs. Ritter was preceded in death by her parents Marvin B. Conner and Ethel Gardner Conner, her husband Gilbert Thompson Ritter, Sr., a son Robert E. Ritter, two daughters Patty P. Lovell and Shelia R. Adams as well as her sisters Helen Swimm, Joyce Benners, Janice (Darlene) Blair.

Shirley is survived by her son Gilbert Thompson Ritter, Jr. (wife Connie), eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and an older sister Betty Eason.

Shirley was a homemaker and volunteered with the Red Cross for many years. Shirley enjoyed dolls, birds (all nature), Gunsmoke, and the gospel. She loved to talk about her family a lot.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 24, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Park 601 N. Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach.
