

Sue retired after many years as a Customer Service Representative at Verizon Telephone Company. She was a dedicated employee who was loved by her colleagues.
Beyond her professional life Sue found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Gardening, crafting, shopping, walking on the beach and traveling were among her many interests. She especially loved Ocracoke, N.C.
Her family was the center of her world. Everyone was welcomed into her home and into her life and heart with love. She was devoted to her equally devoted husband of 34 years, Jerry Collier.
She is survived by her three children; her daughter, Leigh-Ann Cameron and her son Brenden Hansen and her two sons, Rick Cameron and Scott Cameron and his wife Nannette along with their children Megan Vari and her husband Ross, Scotty and Justin Ferrara. She is also survived by her two step children; Bradley Collier and his partner Amanda and their children, Atlas, Vada, Myia and Victoria; Donna Murray and her daughter Addie.
Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings; Marie Ambrose and her two children, Alexis Pennington and her husband John and their two children; and Aaron Ambrose and his wife Jessi and their five children. Her sister Anne Aument and her two children Jennifer Phillips and her husband Bart and their family; and Sharon Farrow; David Aument and his wife Mary. Her brother-in-law Kerry Frink and his wife Loretta will also remember Sue lovingly.
Sue dedicated her life to her family and friends, most especially to her grandchildren, her mother and her aunt. She was especially selfless in the care of her mother and aunt in their last years. She touched many people with her warmth, her love, and her joyful spirit.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father; Estelle and James Aument; her aunt; Elizabeth Schulze (Betty); her sister Joan Frink and her grandson Aaron Collier.
The family wishes to thank Medi Home Health and Hospice for the excellent care, comfort and compassion they provided to Sue, her husband and family.
To Tiffany, Chris, Tiffany, Erin, Regina, Alex, Stacey, the equipment team, the bereavement counselor; you are all exceptionally good at what you do. You made an impossibly difficult time somewhat bearable. You will forever be in our hearts. Thank you.
Sue will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to family and for her love of the natural beauty of the world around her. She touched the lives of all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
Per Sue’s wishes she will be cremated. She requested no funeral.
A Celebration of her life will be planned for a later date.
