Terry Dean Wehner, 71, passed away on November 10, 2021. He was born in Cherry Point, NC to the late William and Lillian Wehner. His father was a Marine so his family moved a lot which brought him to Norfolk, VA where he met the love of his life. With the Local 147 Operating Engineers, he trained for two years, learning to operate a crane and other heavy equipment; he was a crane operator for 14 years. Terry then went to Uhaul as a trailer mechanic where he retired after 29 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed welding, carpentry, making toys and furniture, fishing, and hunting; he loved the outdoors. Terry was a member of the Bayside Masonic Lodge. He was a kind, passionate, trustworthy man and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49.5 years, Carmen Rene Wehner; sons, Joshua Wehner and Michael Wehner (Sandra); sister Linda Lee Wehner; Seven Grandchildren, Katelin Peacock, Kelsie Frantz, Amber Schmitz, Skyler Davis, Gabe Ross, Jeremiah Wehner, and Savannah Wehner; and two Great-grandsons Levi Purvis and Lincoln Frantz. He was predeceased by his oldest son, Joseph Wehner, and his stepbrother, Thomas McBride.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
