He was born February 13th, 1930, in Queens, New York, to the late Seigfried and Sarah Rabba. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and Great Great Grandfather.
Bill worked in the Portsmouth Police Department and retired after 37 years. He also loved riding his police motorcycle. After retiring from Portsmouth Police Dept., he worked as a range officer, training people to shoot/qualify with weapons for 16 years. He was a member of the Portsmouth Fraternal Order of Police and the Portsmouth Ambassador Club.
Bill was in the U.S. Navy for 6 years, where he served in the Korean War. Bill loved traveling, the outdoors, the beach, being out on the water in his boat, working out, hunting, fishing, bowling, and was a die hard Redskins fan. He also had a love for coaching girls' Softball at Olive Branch Ballfield in Portsmouth.
A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025, 2:00 PM at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie (Ro) Rabba; his daughter, Kami; and 3 sons, Billy, Kevin, and Cory. His stepchildren, John Lentini (Denise) and Jeff Lentini (Lynn); his step grandchildren, Trevor, Riley, Rocco, Gianna, and Tino Lentini; his great grandsons, Kaden and Bentley Rabba; his great great grandson, Ka’uzin Rabba, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is predeceased by his son, Richard Keith Rabba; 2 grandchildren, Kaci and Shaun Rabba; daughter in law, Audrey Rabba; sister, Georgianna Duzualt; and 3 brothers, Freddie, Bobby, and Joe Rabba.
Bill lived life to the fullest. He lived a long, extraordinary life, he was kind, loving, and a man who never met a stranger. Everyone who knew him adored him. He will be truly missed, he was loved by many but will be remembered by all.
