

Adria Lombardi Griswold Adria Lombardi Griswold, 75, of Visalia, CA passed away on Sunday January 26, 2014, surrounded by family. She was born to the late Louis and Angela Funai Lombardi on May 12, 1938 in Burbank, California.
Adria attended school in Glendale, CA, where she was a proud member of the Hoover High School Class of 1956, then continued her education at Glendale Community College. She was a 46-year resident of Tulare County, having made Visalia her home since 1968. She raised four children and worked primarily as a credit manager, program assistant and bookkeeper, most recently for CSET. She was self-employed in her later life and considered her clients her friends. Adria had several hobbies, including knitting, quilting, and electronic publishing. She loved to create and her talents produced beautiful works that are cherished by friends and family to this day. Additionally, she volunteered for local service organizations such as the Assistance League of Visalia. Adria was active on Facebook, where she connected with old acquaintances and made countless new friends. Known to many simply as 'Grama Griz', she will be missed very much.
Adria is survived by two sisters, Marta Brown of San Diego, CA, and Nalda Staff of North Richland Hills, TX; her son, Leigh (Celena) Madamba of Vancouver, WA, and three daughters, Gayle (John) Pullen of Manteca, CA, Keli (Bill) Winchester of Hanford, CA, and Cassie (Vince) Trzcinski of Manteca, CA; ten grandchildren, Josh, Drew, Joseph, Beau, Rocky, Cody, Courtney, Thomas, Hallie and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Aidan; ten nieces and nephews plus numerous great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Louis 'Duke' Lombardi, Jr. and one sister, Sandra Farrell.
A celebration of Adria's life has been scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2014, beginning with interment at Visalia Public Cemetery at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Memorial Service, officiated by Reverend Dick Bayard, at Miller Memorial Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with a reception immediately following.
