Angela Cora Marquez

Angela Cora Marquez, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2022 in Visalia, California; surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old. Angela was born in Porterville, California on May 27, 1957 to Francisco and Angela Delgado. She graduated from Porterville College with her Associates degree. Where she met and fell in love with the love of her life, Anthony Stanley Marquez Senior. They were married at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church in Porterville on May 31, 1980. From there she, with her Army husband; traveled all over Europe and lived in Germany for a few short years.. She loved to travel with her husband and kids. Angela never skipped a rosary, every day she would set aside time after dinner to pray. She loved to cook her special tamales for her family and friends every Christmas holiday. She loves music and had a huge collection of her oldies but goodies and dancing in her kitchen was a favorite past time of hers.

She had two children, Anthony Jr. and Melissa. In addition, she and her husband took in 4 nieces and nephews, Ernie, Paul, Robert, and Christina into their home and lovingly raised them as their own.

Angela dedicated almost 30 years of service to Tulare County Department of Child Support Services, retiring in 2013. From entry level up to Supervisor, her career was very important part of her life.

Angela was a loving and generous grandmother to 10 grandchildren. She adored them and took her grandma duties very seriously. Spending time with them was one of her favorite things to do.

Angela will be remembered most for her kind hearted nature. She was compassionate and generous. She had so much love for everyone. Her fun loving personality made everyone who knew her, smile and laugh. Her joy was contagious. Angela will be remembered, always and forever.

Serving as pallbearers are Anthony Marquez Jr, Bobby Zamarripa, Michael Romero, Robert Delgado, Paul Delgado, Ernesto Delgado and Art Balderas.
