

Anna Nunes Bryan Baldo passed Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at home with her loved ones around her. She was 99. Anna was born and raised in Visalia, living here all her life. She was born December 16, 1910 to Visalia pioneers Joe Nunes and Catherine Cassella Nunes, seeing Visalia go from all dirt roads to the present day. She retired from Pacific Bell Phone Company in 1974 after 29 years as a switch board operator. Anna was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, a proud 50+ member of Catholic Daughters and long-time member of the Pacific Bell Pioneers. She married John Baldo in 1986 and spent as much time as possible traveling with the Gadabouts, doting on her son and daughter-in-law and her four granddaughters. Anna is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband John, her three brothers, Joe, Albert and Henry Nunes and her sister, Mary Ramos. Anna leaves a long line of family including son, Kenneth Bryan and daughter-in-law Vicki Van Dusen Bryan, granddaughters Lisa Bryan, Kristi Bryan, Tami Bryan Faria and Amy Bryan, and grandson-in-law Bob Faria, great-grandson, Zachary Faria and many nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed by the angels who cared for her at Prestige Assisted Living and Kaweah Delta District Hospital Hospice. Visitation is at Miller Memorial Chapel Wednesday, June 2nd from 2-6:30PM. A rosary will follow at 6:30PM at Miller Chapel. Funeral is scheduled for Thursday, June 3rd at 10:30AM at St. Mary’s with interment in the Visalia District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to KDDH Hospice.
