After his early years in California, he lived for 5 years in Tucson, Arizona and 33 years in Decatur, Illinois. He moved back to California a few days before he passed away.
Bruce earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Fresno State University, California in 1983. After working for many successful years as a computer programmer/analyst, he retired in 2023. He received the Pinnacle Award of Excellence during his employment with Carle Hospital, Champaign, Illinois.
Family was very important to Bruce. He was a wonderful husband and father. He married Sheryl Sligar on October 12, 1985, and they were married for 40 years. He is also survived by their children: Derek Bardini of Key West, Florida, and Rebecca Bardini of Visalia, California. He also leaves behind his siblings: including Robert (Terri), Mary Kay (Rocky), Linda (Martin), John (Karen), and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce’s presence will be greatly missed. He was known for his unique sense of humor and loved by all who knew him. He was passionate about music and had quite an eclectic collection. He loved to be outdoors, taking adventures on his motorcycle and had great pride in caring for his lawn, making his yard look like a park.
Bruce will live on in our hearts forever.
The Celebration of Life service to honor Bruce’s life will be held on December 18, 2025 at 11 am at Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia, California.
