Carl Herman Simon

Carl was born July 24, 1929 in Visalia, California to John and Anna Simon. He passed away November 17, 2011 in Visalia, California. Carl waged a long battle with cancer

He was 82.

Carl went into the Navy after graduating from Visalia High School, after four years of the Korean War he came home to work for his father and older brothers “Simon and Sons Trucking Co.” Carl retired in 1992

Carl leaves behind his wife of 58years Donna Simon; daughter, Debbie and husband Tom Guilford of Danville, California; grandchildren, Garrett Simon, Meghan Simon, Zachary Guilford, and Jessica Guilford; brothers, Conrad and wife Eleanor Simon, George and wife Deloris Simon, Richard and wife Faye Simon, and Robert and wife Helen Simon; sister Margaret Baty; sister-in-law, Betty Simon; and brother-in-law Buddy and wife Barbara Gillespie.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sheri Lynn, and sons, Carl H. Jr. and Timothy Scott.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made to Optimal Hospice Care, 2439 West Whitendale Ave., Ste B, Visalia, CA 93277
