Acres Middle School, Redwood High School, and graduated from The Visalia Adult School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps as a Private. Carlos married his
beautiful wife Maria on May 3, 1975 and they raised four children together. He established his career as a forklift operator working for Visalia Lumber Company, Pacific Supply, and Western Milling.
Carlos is survived by his wife Maria of 46 years; their children Carlos Jr. (Lourdes), Tanya, Francisco and Joshua; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Linda,
Richard, Rudy, Rosalie and Tony.
Carlos was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Domingo, Jr.
He lived his life spreading God's word and was proud of his Accomplishments as a weekly volunteer with the Tulare County Sherriff's Office Jail Ministry. His favorite pastime was shopping for antiques and vintage items. Carlos also enjoyed hiking and outdoor scenery. While at home, he loved watching classic movies, American Restoration and football.
Carlos truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures, chatting with family and friends, and spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

Celebration of Life services will be held at Visalia First Assembly of God Church, 3737 S. Akers in Visalia on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society kio9in "Memory of Carlos Chavez, Sr".
