Visalia - David L. Martinez, 58, of Visalia passed November 17, 2018. He was born November 19, 1959 in Delano, CA.
David attended Pixley Elementary and Tulare Union High School (Class of '77) where he was active in sports and band. As a young adult David competed in community sponsored boxing events and discovered his artistic abilities and musical talents. David worked in the grocery and retail industry for 36 years and served as a respected team leader for 28 years.
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland Raiders were David's longtime favorite teams. Grilling on his barbecue was a passion along with entertaining family and friends. His world lit up every time his granddaughters came to visit.
Survivors: his wife of over 25 years, Regina; children, Kristina and Barrett; his brothers, Raymond Botello, Rudy and Randy Martinez; and one sister, Melinda Sandoval. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his father Ramon, his mother Cecilia, and his brother Richard.
Service will be held on: December 7, 2018, at 11:00 am, at Miller Memorial Chapel of Visalia. Officiating: Pastor Emzy Cope.
Remembrances and fellowship will be shared immediately following in the reception room at 12:00 pm.
Private graveside services will be held at Porterville Cemetery.
